Are you aging or just drying out?

There is a lot of talk about the fascial system lately. My college Chris has posted articles pertaining to the system and how to keep it healthy specifically through use of massage therapy and foam rollers. In a recent post, I talked about the idea that motion is lotion, focusing on the importance of simple, varied movement to keep our body tissues healthy and hydrated. But what exactly is all this doing to our tissues? Thomas Myers, L.M.T. and author of the acclaimed "Anatomy Trains" posted a great video about hydration and the fascial system. Here he concisely describes why manual therapy and movement are so important to tissue health:
