The Dirty Dozen

I was listening to the BC Almanac on CBC earlier this week while driving to work and ended up sitting in the car in the parking lot so I could finish listening to the discussion with David Suzuki's "Queen of Green".  Lindsay Coulter was being interviewed about the "Dirty Dozen", which are the hidden toxic chemicals found in our everyday personal care products. It is truly shocking how many hormone disruptors and carcinogens are found in everything from soaps to shampoos, cosmetics and cleaning products.

I encourage you to have a listen to the interview  (fast forward to 28min27sec to hear the Queen of Green) and to print a copy of this handy dandy Dirty Dozen wallet sized info card.  This will be helpful when reading ingredient lists and making safe choices while shopping for you and your family.
