"Graffiti" Van Wisdom

The Oregon coast is stunningly beautiful!  My husband, Chris, and I have recently returned from a two week holiday along the coast and I've been smiling fondly as we organize our photos (here's a few to share, Chris' handle on the site is "Winddoctor").  The highlight and focus of the trip for us was the Pistol River Wave Bash. A bunch of the big name, professional "Michael Jordans" of windsurfing were competing and it was truly amazing to watch them sail. Plus kinda fun to rub shoulders with them too! Chris competed in the amateur division and I was so proud of him, he made it all the way to the semi-finals!!!  But I won't say more than that....watch for his blog post coming in the next few days.

What I did want to share here though was some "graffiti" van wisdom.  As we pulled up to the beach at the event site for the wave bash, we parked beside the van you see in this post.  I just loved it and thoroughly enjoyed spending the time to linger and read.  The van is covered in mindfulness quotes, snippets of spiritual wisdom and a significant handful of windsurfing stoke (turns out the owner, Dana Miller, has a blog...check it out).

For those of you who came in for treatments with me last week, this is where the inspiration for my 'reading of the week' came from (you can listen to it here).  Here is another one of my favourites that really resonated with me as well:

"Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety.  Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression.  Your glance can awaken joy.  Your words can inspire freedom.  Your every act can open hearts and minds."  ~ David Deida
